This is a collection of the different tools that I use (in conjunction with my awesome unibody MacBook Pro) for the work I do at Hope. I hope some of these tools will be useful to you as well!
Dropbox: Awesome tool for syncing specific folder/files on your Mac to the cloud. They offer 2 GB of free space, with the option to go for 100 GB for $99/year.
Tweetie: An excellent Twitter client for Mac, as well as the iPhone. I just think it is a beautifully designed app, and it sounds like a new version will be coming soon as well. I confess that I use the ad-supported version, but the Fusion ads are so well-designed that I find myself clicking on them all the time.
AppCleaner: I download and try out many different pieces of software, and this one is great for getting my Application folder cleaned out every once in a while. You drag the program into AppCleaner, and it goes out, finds all of the associated files and preference panes, and removes it all—very useful tool.
LittleSnapper: The screenshot tool in Mac OSX is pretty robust, but LittleSnapper takes it to the next level with advanced annotation and export options to Flickr and its own online galleries. You can have the tool running behind the scenes in the menubar, and it also has a built-in browser.
Fluid: Tool that lets you create site-specific browsers for different websites. I access our student information system (SIS) somewhat regularly, but not so much that I even want it bookmarked in Firefox. In fact, it opens a whole Java window on its own, so I want to keep it contained. Fluid lets me do that easily, and I can just access the site when I need to via Spotlight.
